Oh Dear, Doe Deere!

A new place continuing the work of Doe Deere Lies. This blog contains verifiable information on Lime Crime and its' owner Xenia Vorotova, aka Doe Deere. Everyone is welcomed here, please be respectful and allow for differing opinions. This blog is not a hate blog. I simply want people to have as much as possible information available to them so they can make an informed choice as a customer or supporter of Lime Crime.

- please note, this is NOT run by the same person who ran Doe Deere Lies.

Hello! I just wanna point out that although you list Pretty Zombie Cosmetics as a more reliable and customer friendly equivalent of Lime Crime, I ordered a lipstick from them and never got it. I emailed them about the problem, they asked me if I wanted them to resend it or a refund. I said refund and they never responded again, nor did they refund me. Just a shoutout to all potential PZC customers, I should have gone with the LC velvetine after all.
ohdeardoedeere ohdeardoedeere Said:

That’s disappointing, I would recommend you get back in touch with PZC in case it was a genuine mistake. I understand your complaint though, it’s shitty to feel ignored and stolen from.

Now Doe is saying that the realease of Utopia is is delayed due to "production challenges" and will be out this month.
ohdeardoedeere ohdeardoedeere Said:

Production challenges? Is she making them by hand herself? Lord.

Do you think xenia know about the existence of this blog?
ohdeardoedeere ohdeardoedeere Said:

Yes. It has been linked in most of her social media more than once, and she’s commented on how sad it all is. I agree, it is sad that people can’t properly resolve their issues with Lime Crime and need to go elsewhere to have their voices heard.

I know someone else mentioned them in the past, but MUA Velvet Lip Lacquers are something I can't recommend enough. They're cheap, the colors are pretty and the quality was a positive surprise: once they've dried, they will stay on your lips for hours, even after a long meal. And they're not lip drying at all. So if someone is searching for something Velvetine-like, they might be a good alternative!
ohdeardoedeere ohdeardoedeere Said:

Yup, I was astounded by the quality of the MUA lip lacquers, especially at the price point. Will never stop recommending them :)

I stand by OCC's products and endorse them to all of my clients, friends, and those who just happen to strike up lipstick conversation. Limecrime, while they have a nice aesthetic of branding identity, I think that brands such as OCC, Sugarpill, and even smaller independent companies such as Portland Black Lipstick deliver the aesthetic, the quality, and the personality that LC lacks.
ohdeardoedeere ohdeardoedeere Said:

Thank you for your input! I absolutely agree with you, Lime Crime is all facade and no real depth. I will always research companies - big or small - before investing in their products. That is the sole positive role Lime Crime have had in my life.

Well, that and getting to talk to the awesome people who read this blog :)

Since Shrinkle shaved her eyebrows (and she really pulls it off, btw), Doe has been posting about the importance of brows. Does she really think no one will notice the "coincidence"? Doe, don't hate because you can't pull off the no brow look.
ohdeardoedeere ohdeardoedeere Said:

I agree, Amy has that certain je ne sais quoi that can lull off pretty much anything, and her sense of fun and ‘it’s ridiculous and I love it’ view is pretty excellent. I love that she’s not afraid to take risks, even if she runs the risk of looking daft. Especially then. It holds true to the credo of her whole company. And she looks awesome.

As someone who touts unusual lipstick colours and an alternative look, Xenia somewhat hypocritically holds fast to the ‘rules’ she claims to smash past.

Pretty Zombie Cosmetics have a similar product called Black Cat that I’ve heard good things about, link below! I’m actually going to order it today for a certain routine I have in mind, very excited to try it! Readers, sound off on your favourites please!

Doe Deere's "Brows are the new Black" picture is such an obvious jab at Shrinkle's recent browless look. Especially the day after she jokingly said she'd add another week of shaving them for each comment she gets about going back to brows. Not even surprised. Add another incident to the stalker folder--right next to the comment about septum piercings making you look like a cow.
ohdeardoedeere ohdeardoedeere Said:

You aren’t the only one to think so. Xenia isn’t as clever as she thinks - and subtle as a brick to the face to boot. It’s sad she’s still ‘fighting’ silly battles when the war was won years ago.

Does anyone else feel like the most recent photo Xenia posted regarding eyebrows is a jab towards Amy?
I’m on mobile and can’t post a screenshot, but seriously, Xenia needs to grow up and get over trying to start drama with Amy.
